Healing, regulation, and hope for the journey you're on.
Trauma-informed EMDR and Christian counseling for women, delivered by telehealth, with room for the nervous system, and for faith, to be part of the process.
"The pathway we walk leads to happiness, or pain. The choice is ours."
About Rosaura
I provide compassionate, trauma-informed telehealth counseling for women seeking support, stability, and meaningful change.
My approach centers on emotional processing and nervous system regulation, integrating evidence-based methods, including EMDR and the Safe and Sound Protocol, with a deeper look at the internal patterns that keep us stuck.
For clients who want it, faith is gently woven into the work, never assumed, always invited.
Beyond individual sessions, I speak and write on trauma, nervous system regulation, and faith-integrated healing, bringing this same care to churches, organizations, and communities.
Ways we can work together
Every path looks different. These are the frameworks I draw from most.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing helps the brain process stuck traumatic memories, reducing their emotional charge so they no longer drive anxiety, reactivity, or avoidance in daily life.
Christian Counseling
For clients who want their faith woven into the therapeutic process, I offer counseling that integrates spiritual care with evidence-based trauma treatment, never one at the expense of the other.
Safe and Sound Protocol
A listening-based therapy that supports nervous system regulation, helping reduce anxiety and hypervigilance so deeper trauma work can happen more safely and with less overwhelm.
Trauma & Immigration Evaluations
Comprehensive mental health evaluations for immigration cases, assessing trauma, hardship, and emotional impact for VAWA, hardship waiver, asylum, and U visa cases involving separation and dislocation.
Bringing this work beyond the therapy room
I speak to churches, clinical and professional organizations, and community groups on trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and faith-integrated healing, tailoring each talk to the room.

He Spoke Anyway / Él Habló De Todas Formas
My first book: a bilingual devotional with 74 moments of God's voice in the hardest seasons. Written in English and Spanish, for the woman who prays in two languages, and for anyone walking through a season where God feels quiet. Available now in paperback and Kindle.

I'm currently writing a book on people-pleasing: where it begins, what it costs, and how we slowly learn to exist without apologizing for it. Joining my mailing list is the best way to be first to know.
Questions, answered
Common questions about starting therapy, in English y en español. Tap any question to open it.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I work with insurance through Headway, which handles billing and lets you see your exact cost before your first session. You can verify your coverage and book directly here.
Plans I currently accept: Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue, Florida Blue Medicare Advantage, United Healthcare (Optum), United Healthcare Medicare Advantage, Oxford (Optum), Oscar (Optum), Carelon Behavioral Health, Providence Health Plan, and Ascension (SmartHealth).
What if I don't have insurance?
I offer self-pay sessions as well. We will go over rates together during your free 15-minute consultation, and you will always know the cost before we begin. No surprises.
How do I get started?
The first step is a free 15-minute phone consultation. It's a relaxed conversation where you can share what's bringing you to therapy and ask me anything, with no commitment. Request your consultation here.
Do you offer sessions in Spanish?
Sí. I am fully bilingual and offer therapy in English and Spanish, whichever language feels most like home to you. Many of my clients move between both, and that's welcome too.
Where are you located?
My practice is fully telehealth, which means we meet by secure video from wherever you are comfortable. I am licensed to see clients located anywhere in the state of Florida.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know you: your story, what's been hard, and what you hope will change. We go at your pace. You don't need to prepare anything or have the "right words." Coming as you are is enough.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Sessions are 53 minutes. Most clients start with weekly sessions, and together we adjust the rhythm as you make progress.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share in session stays between us, protected by law and by my professional ethics. The few exceptions, like safety concerns, are things I will explain clearly in your first session, so there are never surprises.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens. I ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule so your time can be offered to someone else. Late cancellations and missed appointments have a fee, which is detailed in your intake paperwork. Please note insurance does not cover this fee.
What if I'm in crisis right now?
This practice is not equipped for emergencies. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available in Spanish too) or call 911. You deserve immediate support.
